8/25/2010 — Flack Steel Inc, a new US service center has opened in Cleveland, Steel Business Briefing learns.

The firm has been selling flats primarily to customers in the US and Canada. It sells steel serving the construction, trucking, highway, rail, mining, tubing and material handling industries.

The company is run by Jeremy Flack, formerly of Lawson Steel, who said despite consolidation in the industry he sees great opportunity.

“There is a lot of change in our business right now… I see plenty of points of sale still. The mills are very, very competitive,” he said.
